Nanowrimo & Updates
Long time no update! The writing conference basically blew my brain. First of all, I’d never been around so many people that loved writing so much. When I talked to them, they really understood where I was coming from: my fears, my dreams, my hopes, my loves. Second of all, there was so many interesting ideas that I was exposed to in the industry of writing. It was interesting listening to all the speakers. Third, I learned SO much. I did this sequence of classes called NovelCram. It was intense but so worth it. I had never known how to approach writing a novel. Trinity was written purely accidentally. So, this gave me a strong foundation to base my future writing on.
Inspired by the conference, I have embarked on Nanowrimo for the 6th year running. This year, I am adamant on finally writing the 50,000 words. I am using this chance to finish a whole new novel from beginning to end in just one month. Of course, it’s going to be a seriously rough draft, but I need the motivation to get cracking on it.
So, that’s the big news: a new novel is coming!
There’s a big future ahead for Trinity also. It’s not quite traditional but I think it fits the novel very well. I’ll explain the reasoning behind my decision for it in a future post. So, stay tuned!
